One Does Not Simply Tweet Forth a New Job

I really dig social networks - esp Twitter. But I think it's silly when I hear someone say, "If you need a job, you need to get on Twitter." It doesn't happen overnight. Ok, rarely, if ever, does it happen overnight. 

Why?  Because "One does not simply tweet forth a new job." 

Getting a job takes work - and the work starts before one needs a job. 

The LinkedIn Tidal Wave

It's hard to argue against LinkedIn's effectiveness with these kind of numbers.  And, when it's typically the first work-related site I access in the morning, and the last one I close out each night.

But really, only 50% of LinkedIn users have a completed profile?

Facebook and Jobster: Career Partners?

Jobster may become the “career partner” for Facebook, in an agreement that sounds similar to the deal SimplyHired scored to power the job section of MySpace.

Such a deal would provide a massive boost to Jobster: are there any college students that aren’t seeking employment?
