Am I The Sum of What I Tweet?

Nice reminder by FastCompany's Amber Mac regarding the importance of "personal brand" (which, by the way, never takes a vacation).

U R What U Tweet:  5 Steps to a Better Personal Brand

My favorite is #4:  Never Stop Networking (reminds me of something Dave would say).

And while I'm thinking of networking, hey, let's connect on LinkedIn (feel free to send me an invite:  smithtx@gmail.com).  ~ Dennis

Expand Your Brand & Career. Open a Twitter Account.

Some people just have a knack for simplification.  Meet Dan Blank. I just read Dan's post about Twitter and believe that I've found no one better able to define its practical benefit.

Dan's post caught my attention immediately thanks to his opening line:
In this economy, the single most powerful thing you can do for your:
  • Career
  • Business/Brand
  • Industry
is to connect with others and help your industry connect with each other.

If you don't believe this then you most likely don't have a Twitter account either.

Too bad.

Dan thinks you should get one.  Right now.  I agree.

If you don't agree then you should at least read Dan's post (click HERE) so you tell him he's wrong.  Better yet, just open a Twitter account and send him a note (@danblank). I'm guessing by the time you read the article the tone of your email will change a bit.

I hope so.

Your career and personal brand have high hopes as well.  Don't disappoint them.
