Et tu, Google?
I've been thinking it was only a matter of time. This WashingtonPost clip confirms it:
Google has developed a prototype cell phone that could reach markets within a year, and plans to offer consumers free subscriptions by bundling advertisements with its search engine, e-mail and Web browser software applications, according to a story published today in The Wall Street Journal. The big difference from what we're currently seeing at our local wireless store? Google plans to fund this endeavor through commercial advertising dollars.
Think it's going to fly?
Are you willing to listen to ads over your wireless phone or will this only hit the target audience currently unable to pay their phone bill?
