Naturally, when I see this headline on MSN I raised an eyebrow. According to a recent study published by The Leadership Quarterly, 39% of workers (700 polled) said their bosses failed to keep promises.
I must say that while my time with T-Mobile has been short, I definitely fell into the 61% catagory who must have great bosses! Dennis Smith officially became my boss just a little over one year ago and I have to say he has been the greatest boss ever! Over this past year, Dennis has kept every promise he has made and has truly become a mentor to me and my growth as a sourcer and a recruiter.
Dennis taught me how to "blog"....to be honest, I didn't know what the heck a blog even was until I met Dennis Smith. He also taught me how to network. This Kool Kat knows everyone in the recruiting and wireless biz! If you don't believe me, check out his linkedin profile here!
Some of you may wonder why the heck I am writing this. Well folks, my last day with T-Mobile is this Friday. I have taken a contract gig that I am very excited about (more info on my linkedin profile on Jan 5th, 2007). I am thrilled to start this new chapter in my life, but am sad that I am going to leave T-Mobile and it's AWESOME recruiting team.
Dennis, my friend, thank you for the past year! Every single minute I worked with you was a pleasure! I hope our paths will cross again in the future!
