The Wrist as a Wireless Hub

Mike Yamamoto (C-Net News.com), posted today about an interesting concept coming out of Hewlett-Packard (and, wow, it doesn't have anything to do with violations of privacy!).

Here's an excerpt from Mike's post:

It's a "personal area network" that could handle any manner of connection required to run a wireless device, whether it be Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, WiMax or 3G, according to our cousins across the pond at CNET U.K. The concept involves a silver cuff hub that resembles something out of a Tiffany catalog. Or it could look like something else altogether, like a credit card.

The reason for the ambiguity is that Phil McKinney, chief technology officer for HP's personal systems group, says a wearable wristwatch-like hub won't be available for purchase until 2016. But it's a worthy idea, and, besides, we liked the artist's rendering.
