When you shake that many hands, I suppose it's inevitable.
If anybody else brought home a nasty case of Bronchitis from ERE Expo, don't blame me. We probably shook hands with the same person.
So much to catch up on - I'll take my meds and try to get back on the blogging horse soon.

ERE Expo's "Thrilla in Manilla" (Goldberg vs. Cheesman)
I'm not sure Doza would have been happy with anything but a fury of gloves and blood in the ring, but we managed to kick off the expo this morning with a gentlemanly exchange of words: Goldberg on one side, Cheezhead on the other.
You can check out the blow-by-blow HERE on the EREExpoBlog.
Also, check out Todd's post about our keynote speaker this morning, Arte Nathan ... HERE.
Nathan is hilarious.....his down-to-earth humor helps us realize that we HR professionals take ourselves way too seriously.
And, until we start treating each other (our employees), the way we want to be treated, things won't change.

San Diego ... yes, it's beautiful

If you aren't able to make it to San Diego for the ERE Expo this week, don't worry about it.
I just got here and the weather is terrible....should be in the 30's all week with a chance of snow flurries and ice storms.
So don't feel bad. You aren't missing a thing.
I promise.
Countdown to San Diego and ERE Expo 2007
Starting the 2nd leg of my trip this morning...leaving Seattle and headed to the beauty of San Diego!
If you are headed to your first ERE Expo, Jeremy offers up some great tips for making your experience in San Diego the best it can be. Check 'em out, HERE.
Unfortunately, I won't be able to make the awards dinner tonight, but will be there bright and early Wednesday morning.
I'm looking forward to seeing familiar faces and making new acquaintances. If we've not had the pleasure of meeting, please send me an email: smithtx@gmail.com. Would enjoy connecting at the conference.
For those of you I've known forever but never had the chance to meet (like you, Ben!), I look forward to shaking your hand in person!
Ciao!

ERE Expo Blog

Love the ERE Expo Blog that Manaster set up for conference participants. Great idea to provide a platform for the exchange of ideas and networking prior to the conference.
Also, Jim Durbin posted a note on the blog about the Blogging Panel that will take place on Thursday afternoon. Yep, I'm excited.
We're still fielding questions for the panel, so you can forward blogging-related questions HERE.

ERE Expo 2007: Everything You Need to Know

The biggest ERE Expo of them all is almost here: The 2007 Spring event is officially the largest ERE Expo ever, and will have a record number of attendees, exhibitors, and speakers.
I'll be joining Jim Durbin (President, Durbin Media Group), Heather Hamilton (Staffing Mgr, Marketing - Microsoft) and Joe Grimm (Recruiting and Development Director, Detroit Free Press) for the "Ask the Bloggers" Blogging Panel on Day 2.
I promise you, there will be no way you can sleep through this thing.
Bring your questions and let's talk blogging.
Before you decide to pass on the biggest expo ever, check out Jeremy Eskenazi's post today on ERE. He gives the complete lowdown on the expo - everything you need to know and more.
See you in San Diego,
Dennis
