Territory Sales Representative
Reporting to the Director of Retail Sales, the successful candidate will be an integral part of the rapidly-expanding Jitterbug Elite Sales Team. Jitterbug is currently seeking highly motivated, self-starting individuals who have what it takes to drive sales growth in their assigned territory.
You will be given much latitude to build relationships and maximize sales at the store level. You should possess a keen interest in business development and the desire to “go the extra mile” to achieve and exceed sales goals. Qualified individuals will have demonstrated experience in sales and business development, specifically in outside sales and/or the wireless industry.
To be a part of the Jitterbug Elite Sales Team you should have a high energy level, be self-motivated, and have a deep commitment to success. All new hires will receive specific training on Jitterbug’s value proposition, culture, sales and business development methodology.
Job Responsibilities - Overview
•Drive sales growth in Big Box Retailers: Sears, CVS, Best Buy, etc.
•Meet/exceed all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and monthly/Quarterly sales targets
•Build solid relationships with store/department managers and sales associates
•Create excitement and enthusiasm for the Jitterbug product line
•Train staff on Jitterbug features, benefits, and unique value proposition in both formal and informal settings
•Report noncompliance issues in a concise, accurate manner
•Attend/actively participate in all required company meetings, conference calls and training classes/courses.
Job Responsibilities - Day to day activities
I. Store Visits
•Identify locations to visit based on top/middle/bottom performers (quartile analysis) and develop monthly strategy of which locations to visit and when, focusing on stores that can have the biggest impact to achieve weekly/monthly/quarterly goals.
•Observe sales techniques of store staff, document staff product knowledge, provide on-the-spot coaching/sales training, verify proper merchandising/display, evaluate & report on inventory levels, and provide support and motivation to evangelize the Jitterbug value proposition
II. Territory Management & Business Development
•Coordinate the development of your assigned sales territory, including route mapping based upon initial store assignments and through ongoing refinement based on your own in-field findings.
•Develop action plans to identify the types of support that stores in your territory need to meet and exceed sales goals.
•Develop and maintain visit logs to identify training needs, document week-over-week and month-over-month improvement, and identify key contacts.
•Identify and cultivate relationships with key decision-makers, in order to develop a roadmap for order-of-magnitude growth above and beyond sales goals in specific locations where an opportunity exists.
•Results-oriented, self starter with exceptional communication and organizational skills
•Positive outlook, entrepreneurial spirit and outgoing personality
•Must have at least 3 years experience in Sales in Wireless, Telecom or related field
•Ability to train in both formal and informal settings in a collaborative, results-oriented manner
•Innate ability to self-manage and proactively seek out ways to drive sales results
•Ability to effectively execute merchandising projects (ensure stores are properly merchandised)
•Ability to work weekends and holidays
•Must possess reliable means to travel to assigned retail locations on a daily basis
•Exceptional written and oral communication skills
•Basic computer skills, including the ability to track and report on multiple types of observed data (Microsoft Office – Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
