SprintNextel wants technology executives and investors to know it is serious about Xohm, the company’s proposed multi-billion-dollar, high-speed wireless Internet service....
...The show of strength comes at a time when analysts and Internet bloggers have speculated that Sprint might drop its plans for Xohm or spin the service off into a separate company....
...Sprint, however, has said it could spend up to $5 billion building out the network.
