Recruiting Conference Overview ...Boston rocks

The Recruiting Excellence 2007 Conference is finished and I'm headed out of Boston today (by the way, I think I just had the best bowl of Clam Chowder known to man).

Lou Adler talked about how to reach passive inactive candidates yesterday, and as usual, Lou was just terrific. I could sit and listen to Lou talk recruiting all day.

Harry Griendling, CEO of DoubleStar, Inc gave us 10 Sullivan-like myths about recruiting. I didn't agree with all of them, but when I get back to work, I'll throw a few out for you to chew on.

John Lanning, Sales/Marketing Recruiting Manager from 3m talked about recruiting for the future and this former football coach knows how to keep an audience engaged. Excellent job, John!

I also met some terrific recruiting leaders this week - if you are in need of a new Dir/VP of Recruiting to lead your staff, I probably have their business card in my wallet! (don't worry folks, your information is not for sale!).

By the way, Glenn Gutmacher's presentation was excellent - this guy is a sourcing genius and Microsoft is lucky he's on their team.
