Job Seeker:Is Your Resume Trash Proof?

Just wondering....if we had a way of counting all the resumes across the country that are sitting in recruiters’ inboxes and piled upon their desks, what do you think the final tally would be?

5,000? 500,000? 10,000,00?

Well, I'm not sure we'll ever have an accurate count, but since I've got approximately 200-300 sitting in just one of my five gmail accounts, I think the real number would stagger the mind. What do you think that says about the importance of having a well-crafted resume that screams “I dare you to throw me in the trash!”

Dr. Amjad Rafiq has a nicely written post titled, The 4 Steps Before Your Resume Hits the Trash on his Job Search Secrets blog.

Dr. Rafiq is a Career Consultant and has a blog that I think is worth exploring. Whether you're out to get your next job, or hitting the interview circuit for your first, this site makes it worth your while to grab a Grande' Latte and spend a few minutes with the Doc.

You might even come away knowing how to keep your resume out of File 13.
