Job Hunters and their networks

I didn't see Durbin's post on July 4th (Improving Referral Networks in Corporate Hiring) until today, but I think it fully supports the premise referenced earlier in "Blogs Essential for a Good Career."

Durbin's post gives us the facts behind the universal phrase, "It's not what you know, it's who you know." Check it out - although the title refers to corporate hiring, it provides a strong argument for why job hunters must bolster their efforts through their networks - strong and weak ties alike.

We had the post there because it was in the new Jobster newsletter.
