The Social Networking Machine called Dave Mendoza

My blogging mentor beat me to the punch, so I thought I'd at least throw my .02 in about this networking machine they call Mendoza (Global Sourcing & Strategies Consultant at FreeScale Semiconductor).

I'm not sure I've met anybody in the recruiting business that takes "networking" more seriously, or pursues it more passionately than Dave Mendoza. What's refreshing about Dave, is that he's not a heartless, contact-grubbing, use-u-and-abuse-u, Tony Soprano kind of networking mobster. He's one of the nicest guys I've met in a long time and he's been kind enough to share some of his networking genius with me.

Social relationship networking more clearly describes what Dave is all about, and he unselfishly uses these skills to connect the corporate recruiting community like nobody in the biz. Last I heard, Dave was connected with appx 1,500 corporate recruiters and maintains a network of some 3,400 engineers in the semiconductor industry.

I'm predicting this guy will be writing books or speaking at conferences at some point in the future, so I'm getting my invite in now:

Hey Dave, interested in sharing the love with the T-Mobile Engineering Recruiting team? We could benefit from 60 minutes of your networking prowess.

We await your reply ~

Dave is finally being recognized for the talent he is. I highly recommend that anyone who gets the OPPORTUNITY to speak with Dave actually listens to what he has to say... because you will learn something!
